HISTORY OF TRANSNATION TITLE TRI-COUNTY AREA
In 1969, we entered the market, buying the oldest title plant in the Tri- County Area.
In 1976, we opened the first Tri-County title plant to produce the most consistently fast and accurate title reports.
In April, of 1990, we were purchased from Transamerica Corporation by the Reliance Group, combining us with Commonwealth Land Title Company.
In 1996, we changed our name from Transamerica Title Insurance Company to Transnation Title Insurance Company.
In 1998, we were purchased by LandAmerica Financial Group to form the largest national title insurance family. We have over 600 direct and 9000 agency operations nationwide. LandAmerica is the parent company for Transnation Title Agency of Oregon, Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company and Lawyers Title Insurance Company as well as several industry related divisions.
Our company is a part of the oldest title insurance company in the nation.
